JANE SKLAR, a Cornell University graduate, is an award- winning artist/photographer. Jane was born and raised in New York City,and currently maintains a studio in Fort Lee, NJ. Together with her teacher and mentor, Max Cartagena, Jane has perfected a unique style of transforming her original photographs into dazzling digital creations, utilizing a handful of older photo editing and graphics programs without the use of Photoshop®.
Jane has shown in the Edward Hopper House in Nyack, NY as well as various galleries in Manhattan as well as juried art shows in the tri-state area, and has won consecutive Mixed Media awards at the Washington Square Outdoor art shows in 2015, 2016 and then in back-to-back in 2017 for art pieces embedded in aluminum. She continues to expand her showings, competitions, and techniques, and her art is in many private collections.

“Jane Sklar Original Art and Photography”
MAX CARTAGENA was born and raised on Manhattan’s Lower East Side. He has written and recorded music, worked in Hollywood independent films both in front of and behind the camera, modeled, and designed websites. The latter has evolved into his unique brand of digitally-generated artwork from his original photographs.
His award-winning art has been displayed in galleries, libraries and art festivals in New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut.
